Dianna M. Cooper, 87, Eureka, SD, went to be with her Lord on Friday, November 29, 2024 at the Good Samaritan Society, Bottineau, ND.
Services are scheduled for 10:00 AM, Saturday, December 7, 2024 at Zion American Lutheran Church, Eureka, led by Pastor Ryan Gage. Inurnment follows at the Church Cemetery. Ushers will be Kathy Gab and Greg Merkel. Organist will be Ronda Lapp and the congregation will sing "Great is Thy Faithfulness", "What a Friend we Have in Jesus", and "Children of the Heavenly Father". Dennis and Margie Walker will sing "Precious Memories".
Dianna Mae Harr, daughter of Emelia (Oster) and Nathaniel Harr, was born at Eureka on February 1, 1937. She attended Eureka Public School and graduated with the EHS Class of 1955. Dianna married Elmer Lindemann on October 30, 1955. They farmed 16 miles southwest of Eureka and raised four children-Nolan, Glenn, Paula, and Fay. Sadly, Elmer passed away in 1975, leaving Dianna to navigate life without him. In the summer of 1976, Dianna and her family moved into Eureka to start a new chapter. Over time, she found love again and married Ronald Cooper on June 23, 1978. Dianna lived a joyful and fulfilling life rooted in her love for God, family, and friends. She was deeply involved in the Eureka community, contributing to the VFW and American Legion Auxiliary, Garden Club, WELCA (Church's ladies' group), and Red Hatters. She wore many hats in her life, including waitress at the Luncheonette, city bus driver, and senior meals deliverer. She also was in a bowling league, sang at many events (including sing-alongs at the Avera Eureka Healthcare Center), and was a faithful member of Zion American Lutheran Church. Dianna's hobbies included reading, solving puzzles, knitting, quilting, golfing, camping, and enjoying coffee with friends. Above all, she cherished time spent with her beloved family and close friends.
Dianna is survived by two sons-Nolan Lindemann and his longtime life partner Vicki Harrell of Mesa, AZ and Glenn (Dee) Lindemann of Fredericksburg, VA; two daughters-Paula (Don) Jelsing and Fay Lindemann and her longtime life partner Mark Siegfried all of Rugby, ND; four grandchildren-Cora (Robert) Pruim of Muskegon, MI, Tyler (Shureen) Brinkmeyer of Bloomingdale, GA, Alysha (Christopher) Dvorak of Bismarck, ND, and Sanessa Lindemann and her partner Cody Swanson of Groton, SD; eight great grandchildren; and many more family and friends.
In addition to her husbands, Elmer and Ronald, she was preceded in death by her father, Nathaniel; her mother, Emelia; her brother, Elial Harr; and several extended family members.
Dianna's Church service will be livestreamed at the Lien Family Funeral Care Facebook page.
Dianna's family prefers memorials to the American Cancer Society (Donate.Cancer.Org).
Urn bearers will be Dianna's son, Nolan, and son-in-law, Don.
