Dianna "Diane" Jean Meyer, 71, of Topeka, Kansas passed away peacefully on September 22nd, 2025 at her home surrounded by love.

Born on April 18th, 1954, in Onaga, Kansas, Dianna was the daughter of Carol (Eichem) and Leroy Dachenhausen. Growing up around Wamego, Kansas, she developed a profound love for animals that would stay with her throughout her life. Her rural upbringing instilled in her the values of hard work and compassion, shaping the kind-hearted and loving person she became.

Dianna caught the eye of Michael Meyer, who was smitten (despite being on a date with someone else!). Their instant connection blossomed into a beautiful marriage of 42 years. Together, they reveled in many adventures together, exploring the landscapes of Colorado, Carlsbad, New Mexico, and visiting nearly every historical site in Kansas. These journeys created many cherished memories.

Dianna dedicated over 39 years of her life to St. Francis Hospital, where her compassion and dedication made a meaningful impact on countless lives. She retired in 2017, leaving behind a legacy of service and kindness that resonated with her colleagues and patients alike.

Those who knew Dianna remember her as a soft-spoken soul with a heart full of kindness. She cherished time spent with her family and friends, always prioritizing their needs above her own. Dianna's love for her dogs, especially her most recent Cavapoo, Lila, brought her joy and comfort. In her leisure moments, she enjoyed gaming on her Nintendo 64, enjoying classics like Pac-Man and Mario Brothers, or unwinding watching Judge Judy.

Survivors include her loving husband, Michael Meyer, her sister, Stacy Springer, and many nieces and nephews whom she loved.

She is proceeded in death by her parents, Leroy and Carol Dachenhausen, and her brother, Dennis Dachenhausen.

An open-house reception to honor Dianna’s life will take place from 3:00-5:00PM on Friday, October 3rd 2025 at the Parker Price and Davidson Reception Center, 245 NW Independence Ave, Topeka, KS 66608, where family and friends are encouraged to stop by for a bite to eat and share their favorite memories.

Dianna's life was a testament to love, kindness, and unwavering dedication. She will be dearly missed and lovingly remembered by all who had the privilege of knowing her. As we celebrate her life, we are reminded of the countless ways in which she touched our hearts, and the deep love she leaves behind.
