Dianne Marie Saunders. Oakhurst, New Jersey
August 29, 1955 - October 13, 2025
Dianne Saunders (nee Mulhearn) passed away suddenly of natural causes on Monday, October 13th at the age of 70.
Dianne was predeceased by her beloved husband Gerald Saunders, parents Richard Sr. & Dorothy Mulhearn, and brother, Gary Mulhearn. She is survived by her son Douglas Rhys Saunders II, her siblings Leslie Perez, Richard Mulhearn, and Lois Mulhearn, along with numerous nieces and nephews.
Born to Richard and Dorothy Mulhearn of New Milford, NJ, Dianne was a graduate of the Academy of the Holy Angels and later Fairleigh-Dickinson University. Becoming a Municipal Bond Trader in NYC and Boston, Dianne led a strong and successful career. She married the love of her life, Gerald Thomas Saunders of Wales, later giving birth to her son, Douglas, her pride and joy.
In her free time, Dianne would paddle the Hudson River, write poetry, cook, bake, and cater parties for friends and family, including the Ronald McDonald House, a cause she was devoted to. Formidable, kind, blessed with a quick wit and a fondness for jewelry and fashion, she left her mark on many. From New Milford, rising to Wall Street heights and right until the end, Dianne acted with professionalism and pride along with her ability to warm hearts. She is now marching her way to eternal peace alongside her husband Gerald whose devotion was absolute.The Dutchess of Wall Street, the Crash, mother, sister, aunt and friend. May God grant you peace. A Funeral Mass will be held on Friday, October 24, 2025 at 11 a.m., St. Michael's Roman Catholic Church, 800 Ocean Ave Long Branch, NJ followed by burial at Monmouth Memorial Park, 4201 NJ-33, Tinton Falls, NJ, where Dianne will be laid to rest with her husband Gerald.
