Martha "Dianne" Simmons, age 73, passed away November 09, 2025, at Twin Oaks Nursing Home after an extended illness. She was a native of Bacon County, born November 04, 1952, to the late Samuel Wright Simmons and Mattie McClellan Simmons. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by brothers, Don, Dewey and Darrell Simmons; sisters, Dennell Simmons and Donna Griffin; two brothers-in-law, Daniel Griffin, Sr and Edward Griffin and one sister-in-law, Genell Thompson Simmons Park.

She was a long-time member of New Vision Church. She was a childcare giver for most of her adult life.

She is survived by sisters, Doris and Dorene Griffin; brother, Dewane Simmons (Bobbie Ryals); sisters-in-law, Martha Hall Simmons and Doreata Smart Simmons Holland; special niece and caregiver, Sandi Simmons Boatright; numerous nieces, nephews, and children she loved dearly.

A celebration of Dianne's life will be held Wednesday, November 12, 2025, at New Vision Church at 11 AM with Rev. Vic Peacock, Rev. Bobby Bentley, and Rev. Cole Griffin officiating. Interment will follow at New Vision Church Cemetery. The family will be receiving friends at the church from 10 AM until service time.

Active pallbearers include Marvin "Bubba" Simmons, Terry Simmons, Troy Simmons, Paul Simmons, Gerald Griffin and Daniel Griffin.

Honorary pallbearers include the Adult Sunday School Class of New Vision, the staff of Twin Oaks Nursing Home, and all others in attendance.
