Richard (Dick) Lindsay, 94, passed away Friday, March 13, 2026, surrounded by family. A graveside service will be held at 4:00 PM. Tuesday, March 17, 2026, at Pioneer Cemetery in Graham under the direction of Morrison Funeral Home.
Dick was born on May 30, 1931, in Flint, Michigan to John and Lillian (McFall) Lindsay.
Raised in Olney, Texas, Dick graduated from Olney High School before continuing his education at North Texas State College, where he earned a degree in Business Administration. Soon after graduation he moved to Graham and started Lindsay Air Conditioning. In the 70’s he developed a passion the oil industry and started Dick Lindsay Oil Company.
In the summer of 1955, he met Ann Simmons, the love of his life, and they married later that year. Dick and Ann started their family raising their three cherished daughters. They spent 70 years building a life together until she preceded him in death in June of 2025
Dick was deeply committed to serving his community. He was an active member of the Rotary Club and proudly served Graham through his involvement with the City Council. Dick was an avid hunter, fisherman, photographer and trapshooter. Through his hobbies, he built lasting relationships, finding true joy in connecting with and mentoring those around him. He was inducted into the Texas Trapshooters Hall of Fame in 2002 where he was honored by his friends and family.
Dick held a deep devotion to his family and friends. He made nurturing those relationships a central priority in his life. He was often found writing letters, making thoughtful phone calls, or creating something meaningful for someone else. He leaves behind a legacy of caring for others.
Survivors include; daughters, Melissa Livingston and husband Joe Don, Kathy Lambden and husband Troy, and Becky Roberts and husband Max, all of Graham; grandchildren Casey Livingston, Missy Livingston and David Clay, Mary Roberts, Anna Rogers and husband William, Allie Brown and husband John, and Abigail Livingston; and great-grandchildren, Joey Livingston, Emma and Caroline Rogers, and Will, Harry and Lilly Brown.
Dick was proceeded in death by his wife, Ann Lindsay, parents Lillian and John Lindsay and brother J.R. Lindsay.
