It's hard to find a time Diego didn't make me or our friends laugh! With such an infectious personality, it'd be hard not to. We met on Guam and instantly clicked. To this day us Guam friends who were once little 7th graders together still keep in contact. My first impression of Diego was wow this kid is really good at math (I was not) and cool, which seemed like an unlikely combo as a middle schooler! This picture encapsulates the sweet, kind and caring boy I met in middle school. I am so grateful we kept in contact over the years and am even more thankful another friend and I called him earlier this year in March to see what he was up to. To know Diego was to love Diego. My heart is with his family, girlfriend, soon-to-be-born daughter and all those who knew him <3, love Malia Wilson

My son, Bryce, met Diego when his family was stationed in Goldsboro, NC. They immediately connected due to military background, their love for baseball and they just enjoyed being friends. One a Dodger fan and the other a Yankee fan!!
