Raymondville, Texas Santos Urbina Lopez, 86, of Raymondville, Texas passed away peacefully on Friday, July 11, 2025, at Valley Baptist Medical Center in Harlingen, Tx, surrounded by family. Santos was born on November 1, 1938, in Raymondville, Tx. to Jose Urbina, Sr. and Julia Bueno Urbina. She is preceded in death by her parents, husband, Bernabe Lopez, brothers, Juan Urbina and Jose Urbina. She is survived by her loving son, David Jose Lopez, sisters, Josefa Lopez, Fela Martinez, Maria Rodriguez and Julia Urbina, Raul Urbina, Nieces, nephews, goddaughters, and godsons. Santos started working in retail dating back to her high school years at Hanshaw Five and Ten Cent Store, later at Cisneros Grocery and retired at Wal-Mart with 25 years of service there. She was a hardworking and loyal woman who dedicated herself to her family and work. She was known to be the rock of her family. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, July 16, from 1:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. and continues on Thursday, July 17, from 10:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m., at Duddlesten Funeral Home. A rosary will be recited on Thursday, July 17, at 7:00 p.m. at Duddlesten Funeral Home. Funeral mass will be celebrated on Friday, July 18, at 2:00 p.m. at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church, 693 N. 3rd, Raymondville. Interment will follow in the Raymondville Memorial Cemetery, Raymondville Texas. Honored to be pallbearers are Ariel Mazariegos, Smiley Rodriguez, Jame Martinez, Joey Alfaro, Marco Alfaro and Koby Bynum.
