Joseph Elias Lopez

Joseph Elias Lopez, known lovingly as Jo Jo, age 32, of Panama City Beach, FL, passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, July 13, 2025, as the result of a tragic car accident.
Joe was born on November 19, 1992, to Jennifer Lynn Cleavenger and the late Elias Cordero Lopez.
Joe shared a lifelong, unbreakable bond with his sister, Jessica Rae Meyers. Born just 13 months apart, they grew up not just as siblings but as inseparable best friends. Joe's absence leaves a space in Jessica's life that no one else could ever fill. Their bond was a rare and beautiful gift that will continue to live on in her heart forever. Wazzzup.
Joe had an adventurous spirit and a deep love for the ocean. His heart was happiest on the shores of Navarre Beach, where he found peace and joy surfing the waves and soaking in the sun.
He will be remembered for his charisma, loving personality, and beautiful smile. Joe loved everyone so deeply, and that love was felt by every person who had the privilege of knowing him. Whether he was out on the water or spending time with family and friends, Joe brought light, laughter, and genuine warmth to every room he entered.
Joe was a devoted son, brother, uncle, cousin, nephew, and friend. He is survived by his mother, Jennifer Lynn Cleavenger, stepfather, Warren Cleavenger, sister, Jessica Rae Meyers, grandmother, Patricia Poland Gray, and aunts, Brandi Mykle Norris and Cassandra Rena, as well as his beloved nieces, nephews, and cousins. He is also remembered with love by many more extended family members and close friends.
Joe was preceded in death by his father, Elias Cordero Lopez, and his grandfather, Rodney Maurice Gray. He is now reunited with them in peace.
A celebration of life will be held at a later date. All are welcome to come honor Joe's memory and the impact he made on so many lives.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you honor Joe by spending time near the ocean, doing something kind for someone, or simply appreciating the beauty of a sunset-just as he would have.
Joe's memory will live on in the waves he loved, the hearts he touched, and the stories we will share forever.
