Funeral service for Dillard McLeroy, 79, will be Sunday, April 13, 2025 at 3:00 PM at Peck Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Phillip Robinson officiating and Peck Funeral Home directing. Burial will be in Falkville City Cemetery. Visitation will be Sunday, April 13, 2025 from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM at Peck Funeral Home.
Mr. McLeroy died on Wednesday, April 9, 2025 at Decatur Morgan Hospital. He was born July 29, 1945, in Cullman County, to Kenneth Jones McLeroy and Exer Ree Motes McLeroy.
He was self employed, as a Craftsman of furniture, for Oak Reproductions, prior to his passing. Mr. McLeroy belonged to the First Baptist Church in Falkville, was a graduate of Falkville High School, and was loved by the Falkville Community. He attended most sporting games as long as he was able and helped with the Varsity football team in the late 60's after graduating in 1965. He also coached the Inaugural season of Midget football at Falkville. He was an avid Alabama football fan.
Preceding him in death were his parents and a sister; Ruth Holmes and his grandparents.
Survivors include
Son - Clint McLeroy,
Sister - Melba Fortenberry
Pallbearers will be Jason Fortenberry, Philip Fortenberry, Marty Adams, David McLeroy, Bill Partridge, and Chris Mooneyham.
