Dillon Eugene Asher, a cherished young soul, was born September 26, 2012, in Hyden, Kentucky. He left this world on Friday, December 20, 2024, at the Mary Breckinridge-ARH Hospital in Hyden, Ky, He was 12 years old. He left behind memories that will be treasured forever.
Dillon was a beloved student at W.B. Muncy Elementary, where he made lasting friendships and impacted the lives of those around him. His vibrant spirit and joyous demeanor brightened the days of his fellow classmates and teachers alike. He was known for his love of adventure, which he often explored through watching videos on YouTube and immersing himself in the world of video games. He found joy in the simple pleasures of life, including the time spent with his beloved puppies and the warmth of his family surrounding him.
Dillon is survived by his father, Eugene Asher & step-mother, Tonya Collett, mother, Rachel Carpenter, and his brother, Kevin Eugene Asher. He also leaves behind a host of other relatives and special friends from both Hayes Lewis Elementary and W.B. Muncy Elementary. Their lives were enriched by Dillon’s light, each carrying a piece of him in their hearts.
He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Rufus and Wathon Asher, who surely welcomed him with open arms.
Dillon Eugene Asher will be deeply missed by all who had the pleasure of knowing him, and his legacy of love and joy will continue to resonate among his family and friends.
Funeral: Thursday, December 26, 2024 at 2:00 P.M. at the Dwayne Walker Funeral Home, Hyden, KY
Minister: Terry Joseph
Interment: Rufus Asher Cemetery, Yeaddiss, Kentucky
Visitation: Thursday, Dec. 26th at 11:00 A.M. at the Funeral Home Chapel
