Dina Spencer Obituary

Dina Jo Duncan Spencer, 88, died Tuesday, October 22, 2024, in Tupelo. She was born on August 11, 1936, and was the only daughter of Austin and Kitty Duncan. Dina Jo was a woman who revolved her life around faith and her beloved family. She is the widow of Billy W. Spencer; they were married June 2nd, 1956; during their long marriage they enjoyed camping and spending time together traveling. Dina Jo was a longtime member of West Jackson Street Baptist Church, where she was a longstanding choir member and nursery staff member. She retired from Hunter Sadler with over 20 years of continuous employment. She loved to spend time with family and read a good book.

Dina Jo Spencer leaves behind her son, Terry Spencer and his wife, Tina, of New Albany; four grandchildren, Sarah Compton and her husband, Will, of Jackson, Sam Spengler and his wife, Reagan, of Jackson, Grand Spencer and his wife, Holly, of Athens, Alabama; and Peyton Spencer of Birmingham.

She was preceded by her parents, Austin and Kitty Duncan; husband, Billy W. Spencer; daughter, Sandra Spencer Spengler; and one brother, Charles Duncan

Dina Jo was laid to rest at Tupelo Memorial Park next to her late husband, Billy W. Spencer.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in her memory to Rosewood Assisted Living, 2441 McCullough Blvd, Belden, MS 38826.
