Dineta Michelle Jones was born on August 27, 1966, in Seaford, Delaware to Carlton Magee and the late Rosie Omega Jones. God called her home on July16, 2025.

Dineta received her education in the Maryland School District. She graduated in 1984 from North Dorchester High School. While attending high school, Dineta enjoyed playing sports. She was a member of the basketball team and softball team. After graduation, Dineta pursued a career in nursing. She gained employment at the Seaford Retirement and Rehabilitation Center in Seaford, DE, Eastern Shore State Hospital in Cambridge, MD. Dineta moved to Wilmington and became a home health aide until her illness would no longer allow her to continue her career in nursing. She became a mother to three children whom she raised and loved with all her heart and soul.

Dineta enjoyed spending time with her family and talking on the phone about the good ole days. She was a member of the Ebenezer Baptist Church. Chinese food, cheesesteaks, and her aunt Darlene's sweet potatoes pie was some of her favorite foods along with tootsie roll pops and twizzlers.

Dineta was preceded in death by her mother, Rosie Omega Jones; bonus mother, Claire Camper; grandmother, Mary E. Jones; brother, Cedric Jones, uncles, Charles Jones Jr., Marshall Jones, William Lee Jones, and Ronald Jones "Buddy Love"; two aunts, Della Reese Jones "Reese" and Jonnie Jones; bonus brother Dwight Camper.

She is survived by her father, Carlton Magee of Dover, DE; three children Lavijae Jones, Darnell Jones both of Wilmington, DE and Treasure Mitchelle of Seaford, DE. One granddaughter, Daresiah Jones; two brothers, Eric Jones and Bryan Jones of Seaford, DE; two loving aunts, Glenda Jones of Wilmington, DE who helped take care of Dineta during her illness and Darlene Robinson of Seaford, DE who helped raise Dineta as a daughter. One bonus sister Iris Lankford of Florida; four bonus brothers, Rodney Lanford, Tyrone Lankford, Gary Camper of Florida, and Willam Camper of Maryland. And a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
