Dirk Moll passed away on March 11, 2023, at the age of 69. Dirk was born on April 27, 1953, in Amsterdam, Holland to Louis and Nellie Moll. His parents and siblings immigrated to the United States in 1962. Dirk was preceded in death by his parents, and son, Jason Moll. Dirk showed an interest in cars from a young age buying his first car at the age of 11 from his paper route money. Dirk worked on cars while he attended and then graduated from College High School in 1972. He also attended Tri-County Tech for autobody training and started his first auto body shop at age 20. A few years later, he opened a discotheque called Where It's At west of Bartlesville that is still fondly remembered by many locals.
Dirk is survived by his children; daughter, Shannon Conover and husband, Travis Conover, son, Michael Moll and wife, Saleem Moll, son, Trevor Moll, and daughters, Addison Moll, Savana Moll, and bonus daughter, Olivia Roe; grandchildren, Saige Kastor and husband, Bretton Kastor, Skye Finley and husband, Steven Finley, Isaiah Hudgens, Malachi Hudgens, Selah Hudgens, Shiloh Hudgens, David Hudgens, Aaron Hudgens, Shoshanna Hudgens, Joseph Conover, Brant Conover, Elijah Conover, and Lakelynn Fuller; great grandchildren, Attalia Finley, and William Finley. Siblings include brothers, Fred Moll, Herb Moll, Charles Moll, Max Moll, and Steven Moll; sisters, Winnie Moll, and Edie Moll.
Dirk had always wanted to open a new Where Its At dance club. In remembrance of that wish, and his request to make his funeral a party where all his family and friends could attend, a memorial is currently being organized along with a Where It's At revival for one last night on Saturday, April 15th. If you would be interested in attending, please email the family. An invitation with the additional details will be emailed in response as soon as the plans have been solidified. In lieu of flowers, the family would appreciate any old photos and memories about Dirk that can be shared; [email protected]
