Dirk Edward Shepherd – son, father, grandfather, brother, and friend has ridden his last motorcycle ride and left his cancer behind on the road.
Dirk was born on 7-16-1955 and died on 11-20-2024. He was among the 2nd graduating class of Westland High School in 1974. He was proud of his 45 years of employment with Ohio Bell/AT&T. Dirk loved riding his Harley and taking rides with Apple City Motorcycle Club. Dirk shared his passion for good times and simple pleasures with his girlfriend June Cremeans. Lulu, his four-legged family member, is missing him so.
Dirk was preceded in death by his father, Walt Shepherd, sister Brenda Shepherd, stepdaughter Marylyn Rapp-Dickey. He will be loved and missed by his girlfriend June Cremeans, Mother Betty Shepherd, sons Brad (Tamie) Shepherd, Todd (Allison) Shepherd, brother Steve (Melissa) Shepherd, sister Merri Jo (Mark) Linton, grandchildren Emilie, Marshall, Jaxyn, Mya, Makayla, Maryssa, Jordyn, Jaydyn, Audrey, Serenity and several nieces and nephews. We will always carry his memory in our hearts.
Please join the family for a celebration of life from 10 am to 12 pm with services following on November 26 at Newcomer Southwest Chapel 3393 Broadway, Grove City Ohio.
In remembrance of Dirk’s life and love for his dogs, the family asks that any charitable donations be made to GiGi’s Dog Adoption Animal Shelter (6175 Wright Rd, Canal Winchester, OH 43110) in his name.
