Dixiana Hedland Sleadd, age 89 of Louisville, Kentucky, passed away on Friday, March 14, 2025.
Born on November 5, 1935, Dixiana dedicated her life to education, family, and faith. Known affectionately as Dixie, she was a beloved teacher who touched the lives of countless children throughout her career.
Dixie was a devoted mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She is survived by her children, Bradley Sleadd, John Sleadd, and Kelly Bell; her brother, Victor “Jack” Hedland; her granddaughter, Sydney Sleadd; and many other grandchildren and great-grandchildren who will cherish her memory.
Dixie was preceded in death by her beloved daughter, Kimberly Sleadd; her mother, Ada Hedland (Henson); and father, Victor Hedland.
May her memory bring comfort to all who knew her.
Graveside services will be at 10 am on Monday, March 17, 2025 at Middletown Historic Cemetery in Middletown, Kentucky.
