Dixie “Aline” Allen was born on February 21, 1933 to J.W. (Pete) and Donna (Donnie) Hollis. She passed away on Saturday, September 14, 2024 in the comfort of her home. Aline wore many hats – literally and figuratively. Aline was a loving wife, mother, homemaker, and people person. She often told us that she was one of a kind and there was no more like her. She was a great cook and always loved to help others. She loved the Lord and was a long-time member of the Lake Fork Baptist Church.

Aline is survived by her brother, Richard Hollis and wife Charlotte of Quitman, Texas; sister, Geneva Blalock of Quitman, Texas; sons, Rodney Allen and wife Brenda of Yantis, Texas, David Allen and wife Margie of Yantis, Texas; daughter, Melody Rose and husband Shane of Yantis, Texas; daughter-in-law, Mary Allen of Yantis, Texas; grandchildren, Kerry Allen (Jennifer), Hope Lawrence (Chris), Robbin Poston (Garrett), Shelby Harry (Brandon), Allen Rose (Samantha), and Isaac Allen; numerous nieces, nephews, great-grandchildren, and friends.

Aline was preceded in death by her parents, J.W. (Pete) and Donna (Donnie) Hollis; her loving husband, B.G. Allen; siblings, Stecil Brasher, JW Hollis Jr., Doris Price, and Ruth Ellington; sons, Ronnie Allen and Robbie Allen; and granddaughter, Anna Rose.

A celebration of life service for Aline will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, September 18, 2024 at Lake Fork Baptist Church in Alba, Texas with Dr. Zachary Tunnell officiating. Interment will follow at Yantis Cemetery with James Smith, Kerry Allen, Allen Rose, Isaac Allen, Randy Carroll, and Marcus Hurley serving as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers are Larry Hollis, Dwane Daugherty, and Dr. Don Smith. Visitation will be held from 6:00-8:00 p.m. on Tuesday, September 17, 2024 at Murray-Orwosky Funeral Home in Sulphur Springs, Texas.

Memorials can be made to the Lake Fork Baptist Church Building fund.
