Dixie Lee Berger, 90, Princeton, MO passed away Tuesday, February 3, 2026, at a Princeton, Missouri nursing home.

She was born on July 18, 1935, in Brimson, Missouri the daughter of Asa and Loma Marie (Hughs) Goldsby.

On May 15, 1954, she married Joseph William Berger in Trenton, Missouri. He preceded her in death in 2001.

Dixie attended Trenton High School and later became a licensed beautician through a Kansas City cosmetology school. She was a housewife and opened a beauty shop for several years after her children were grown.

She was a founding and life-long member of the Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church in Princeton, Missouri.

Dixie enjoyed flower gardening, crocheting, collecting quilts, figurines (especially angels), and celebrating birthdays and Christmas with her family. Dixie loved her family and the Lord.

In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents and an infant daughter, Therese Ann Berger.

Dixie is survived by her sons, Joe (Peggy) Berger, John (Barbara) Berger, Tony Berger, and Steve Berger (companion, Deana Martin); daughter, Sharon Berger (companion, Scott Hawk); grandchildren, Joey and Heather Berger, Amanda and Eliott Reeder; Phillip and Jessica Ashley; Rachel and Jonathan Preisser, Jacob and Melissa Berger, Theresa and Justin Moore, Danielle Berger, Jessie and Chris Newton, Sarah and Jeremy Dunston, Kirsten and Adam Deichert, Ethan and Hannah Darneal-Berger; 22 great grandchildren; and sisters, Sarah Barnes and Carolyn Robbins.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, February 7 at the Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church, Princeton, Missouri under the direction of Roberson Funeral Home, Princeton, Missouri. Burial will follow in Goshen Cemetery, Princeton, Missouri. The family will receive friends from 6:00-7:00 p.m. Friday at Roberson Funeral Home, Princeton, Missouri.
