Dixie Conwill Obituary
Okeechobee – Dixie Murel Conwill died December 21, 2023. She was born October 4, 1935 in Ashland, Kentucky. A resident of Okeechobee for 50 years, she was a member of Believer's Fellowship Church. She enjoyed cooking, baking, crafts, collectibles, religious statuary, and writing recipes.
Mrs. Conwill was preceded in death by her father, Samuel Renfroe; mother, Jennie Mayberry; sister, Dorothy Boggess; brothers, Elmer Renfroe and Armond Renfroe; and husband, Ellis Conwill.
She is survived by her sons, Tim Banfield, of Australia, and Robert Banfield, of Okeechobee; daughter, Tammy Potter, of Lehigh Acres; four grandchildren, Jenny Potter, Niki Potter, Mitch Banfield, and Alyssa Banfield; sister, Charlotte Moore, of Ashland, Kentucky; and many friends and co-worker.
The family will receive friends from 10 a.m. until service at 11 a.m. Thursday, December 28, 2023 at Buxton & Bass Okeechobee Funeral Home. Private interment will be at Fort Drum Cemetery.
