Dixie Ann Delling, a loving and inspiring figure, departed this world on June 16, 2025. Born in Logan, UT, on April 4, 1942, she dedicated her life to nurturing not only her family but also those around her. Dixie's compassion and warmth were the cornerstones of her existence, touching everyone who had the privilege of knowing her.
Dixie married the love of her life, Rustin Delling, on April 16, 1960, and together they built a home filled with laughter, love, and the aroma of Dixie's exquisite cooking. As a dedicated homemaker, she seamlessly wove the fabric of her family's life, creating a tapestry of memories that will be cherished forever. Her talents were diverse, from her quilting and scrapbooking skills, to her passion for teaching Sunday school and being a visiting teacher. Dixie was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and the Relief Society, embodying the verse from Proverbs 31:26, "She opens her mouth with wisdom, and the teaching of kindness is on her tongue." With a heart full of love and hands that never stopped serving, Dixie was also a proud member of the Daughters of Utah Pioneers.
Dixie is survived by her devoted husband Rustin, her loving daughters Tracy (David) Rounsevelle, Wendy (Bryan) Schritter, Jennifer (Darin) Jordan, and her supportive brother Steven (Julie) Brown. She leaves behind a legacy of ten grandchildren and thirteen great-grandchildren, each of whom was a source of immeasurable joy for her. She was preceded in death by her parents, Fredrick and Verral Brown. Dixie's life was a testament to the depth of her faith, the strength of her character, and the breadth of her love. Her memory will always be a beacon of inspiration and a source of comfort to those who knew her.
A graveside service will be held on Monday, June 23, 2025 at 11a.m. at Ben Lomond Cemetery, 526 East 2850 North, North
Ogden, Utah. Services entrusted to Myers Ogden Mortuary.
