Dixie Hartsburg Mayberry, 98, Mooresville, passed away July 13, 2025, just two days before her 99th birthday. Dixie was born July 15, 1926, in Bicknell, Indiana, to the late Thomas Henry and Mary Helen (Keene) Oniones. She married the late James M. Mrs. Mayberry attended Bicknell High School. She worked for Crane during World War II and was also employed at RCA, where she enjoyed many friendships. She was also the co-owner of various businesses in Davies and Knox Counties. Dixie was a faithful member of Souls Harbor Assembly of God for many years. Before her health declined, she always enjoyed gardening, canning, and baking. Family and friends looked forward to her Christmas cookies and oatmeal cookies. Dixie remained an avid reader throughout her life. She will be fondly remembered for her tenacious and determined nature.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by two sons, Stephen Hartzburgh and DeWayne Hartsburg; a brother, William Thomas Oniones; sister, Barbara Kixmiller.

Survivors include one daughter, Dianna (Gary) Grindean; grandchildren, Nena (Dean) Brock and Colby (Veronica) Grindean; great-grandchildren, Adia, Ming, and Elie Grindean, Heather Walters, and Clint Brock; five great-great grandchildren.
