Dixie Adrian Philipp, age 90, passed away on December 29, 2024. Born on May 22, 1934, in Jefferson City, Missouri, she was the beloved daughter of the late Jewell and Adrian Farnham.
Dixie married her husband, Warren Philipp, on December 28, 1962. They shared a beautiful life together until his passing in 2003. She is survived by her children, Jonathan (Christine) Philipp, Craig (Stephanie) Philipp, and Warren (Lisa Decker) Philipp Jr.; her cherished grandchildren, Calvin, Quincy, Suzannah, Kelly, Alex, Henry, Grace, and Reagan; and her sister, Dianna Kegley. She was predeceased by her siblings, Donna Maginn and Dade Farnham.
A devoted member of the John Knox Presbyterian Church in North Olmsted, Ohio, Dixie served as an elder, sang in the choir, and was actively involved in the Bible study group. She was an avid reader and a passionate bridge player, though she often admitted she was better at reading than bridge.
Above all, Dixie loved her family deeply, cherished her church community, and valued her friendships. Her warmth, kindness, and dedication will be dearly missed by all who knew her.
Funeral service will be held at John Knox Presbyterian Church, 25200 Lorain Rd, North Olmsted, Ohio 44070 on Saturday, January 4, 2025 at 11:00 a.m. with burial to follow at Sunset Memorial Park, North Olmsted, Ohio.
