Eamon Moran

Eamon Aloysius Moran, June 21, 1933 – August 18, 2025, born in Cloughmore, Achill Island, County Mayo, Ireland. Survived by wife of 63 years, Theresa (nee Barrett) and son, Kevin. Predeceased by son Martin and his parents Francis and Florence (Nee Spraggett) Moran. He had 16 brothers and sisters, Patrick*, Tommy Irvin*, Mary C*, Nora*, Patrick*, Frank*, Andrew*, John*, Winifred*, Eileen*, Vincent*, Martin* (Mary), Elizabeth (John*), Ailis* (Frank*), Joseph Irvin (Bridie) and Beth (Timothy). As a teenager, he was a tattie howker in Scotland. Eamon moved to Montreal, Canada and finally to Clevland, Ohio in 1955. He honorably served our country in the U.S Army during the Korean war until his honorable discharge. After his time in the service, Eamon worked at East Ohio Gas Company until his retirement. In his retirement he enjoyed traveling, casinos, and golf. He was a faithful and longtime member of St. Clarence Catholic parish. He was also a member of West Side Irish American Club. He followed the Cleveland Indians, Browns, and the British Premier League soccer. Eamon was great at crossword puzzles, had a green thumb in the garden, and had a deep love for his family, friends, God and his country. He is also proud of his grandcat Charlie. Family will receive friends from 10:00 am until 10:50 am with Military services to begin at 10:50 am at St. Clarence Catholic Parish, 30106 Lorain Rd, North Olmsted, OH 44070. Catholic Mass to honor Eamon will be held Thursday, August 21 starting at 11 am at St. Clarence Catholic Parish.
