Dixie Lee Straley passed away on Sunday, January 4, 2026 at 5:44 a.m. Dixie was a beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and great-great-grandmother, and the heart of her family — a steady presence whose love and strength will be remembered for generations.
Dixie showed her love in the ways that matter most — through kindness, sacrifice, and always being there when someone needed her. Her family meant everything to her, and her legacy lives on in the lives she touched and the values she passed down.
Dixie is now reunited with her beloved husband, Andy, together again after 11 years and one day.
She is survived by her children: Andrew Straley (Wife Marianne), Joe Walczak (Wife Cindy), Eric Walczak, Michelle Walczak, and Rick Walczak, along with many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren, extended family and friends who will miss her deeply. A very special thank you to her dear friend and caregiver of 5 years, Holly Harrison.
In keeping with Dixie’s wishes, there will be no services. A Celebration of Life will be announced at a later date.
The family would like to express their sincere gratitude to the Cleveland Clinic Mercy Hospice team for the compassion and empathy shown during this time.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Cancer Society.
