David James Patterson Jr., lovingly known as "D.J.", born December 23rd, 1965, passed away on October 5th, 2025 leaving behind cherished memories and a legacy of love and laughter.
Born to David Patterson Sr. and Karen Patterson, D.J. was preceded in death by both parents. He is survived by his devoted spouse, Dawn, with whom he was together for 14 years. D.J.'s greatest pride was his family, especially his sons, Joseph and Nicholas, his beloved sister, Lisa Patterson Stevens, as well as aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and lifelong friends.
After serving in the Army as a Watercraft Operator, D.J. earned a Bachelor's Degree from the University of Maryland. He was known for his commitment and devotion as an Account Manager over the course of his career.
A man of many passions, D.J. loved to fish, ride bikes, train Krav Maga, spend time at the beach, and always got a kick out of making Dawn laugh. D.J. was always friendly and his outgoing personality earned him the nickname of "Mayor" amongst family. His love for life and ability to find joy in simple pleasures touched everyone who knew him.
D.J.'s memory will live on in the hearts of his family and friends. He will be deeply missed and fondly remembered for his warmth, humor, and unwavering love.
A memorial gathering will be held on Sunday, October 19th at the Donaldson Funeral Home of Clarksville, P.A., 12540 Clarksville Pike, Clarksville, MD 21029 from 12:30 – 3:00pm with a prayer service from 3:00 – 3:30pm.
