Survivors include his children, Vicki Tiffin of Mattoon, IL; Ricky Tiffin and wife Linda of Mattoon, IL, and Tracy Tiffin of Springfield, IL; sister, Renae Woodfall of Casey, IL; sister in law, Bonnie Maxine Tiffin of Casey, IL; special friend and companion for many years, Mary Gard of Casey, IL; nephews and nieces, great nephews and nieces, and great great nephews and nieces. He was preceded in death by his parents and wife; brother, Maurice Tiffin; sister, Eleanor Curtis; nephew, Paul Mark Elliott III; niece, Belinda Curtis; and great nephew, Aurek Rardin.
Doit was a 1959 graduate of Casey High School. He had a strong work ethic and retired as a line operator from Hershey Company in Robinson, IL. He had previously worked for Goble Gas as a propane delivery driver for twenty years and for USI in Tuscola, IL for ten years. Doit faithfully attended Casey White Oak Church of God. In his forty's he proudly ran in a marathon and really enjoyed running. He found joy in taking trips and going to flea markets with his wife Judy. He also enjoyed fixing things, carpentry, and auto mechanics.
Funeral services will be conducted at 12:00 p.m. on Friday, July 26, 2024 at Markwell Funeral Home with Pastor Mike Martin officiating. Burial will follow in Casey Cumberland Cemetery, Casey, IL. Visitation will be held from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. on Friday prior to the service at Markwell Funeral Home, 200 N. Central Ave., Casey, IL.
Memorial donations may be made to Casey White Oak Church of God, 3305 E 1000th Rd, Casey, IL 62420.
