Obituary published on Legacy.com by Boren-Conner Funeral Home - Bullard on Aug. 13, 2024.
Dolly Flo Eikner, 86, Tyler, went to be with her Lord on the morning of August 12, 2024. A Memorial Service will be held on Monday, August 19th, at Grace Community Church in Tyler, to begin at 1:00pm. Bro. John Prestridge will officiate the service. Services will be under the direction of Boren-Conner Funeral Home.
Dolly Eikner was born and raised in Tyler TX. Her earliest years were filled with piano lessons, dance lessons, singing in the A-Capella choir at Tyler High School, and being an officer in the Blue Brigade drill team. Her passion for music led her to become the organist and choir accompanist at Grace Community Church for over 40 years. She used her musical skills and sweet spirit to minister to others throughout her whole life.
At age 17 Dolly married her sweetheart, Edwin Eikner. They lived their life together for 69 years. They had two sons and one daughter and her family became the strongest passion of her life. She was truly the happiest while taking care of and being with her husband, children, grandchildren, and great- grandchildren. She loved them with joy, creativity, a sense of humor, and a playful spirit. She was a truly beautiful woman.
Dolly is preceded by her Father, Blake Wood, and Mother, Helen Wood.
She is survived by her Husband, Edwin Glenn Eikner, Son, Steven Lee Eikner, Son, Glenn Eikner, Jr., Daughter, Amy Eikner, Sister, Dee Layton, 7 grandchildren, and 11 great-grandchildren.

Dolly was one of the most precious women, we've ever known. The love of God and family poured out from her; blessing all who knew her. She also enjoyed a great sense of humor and laughed easily. We are so grateful to have known Ed and Dolly Eikner. They were both like family to us.
