Dolores Faye Buckelew, age 61 of Oak Grove, Kentucky passed away on April 27, 2023, surrounded by her family. She was born on July 18, 1961, to the late James and Patricia Forte Straight in Glens Falls, New York. Dee's life revolved around the ones she loved and that's where she was truly happy. She had a knack for making anything grow, whether it was her relationships with her friends and family or the beautiful flowers she planted every year.
Over the years she enjoyed many hobbies like spending time on boating with her late husband, Johnny, cooking her famous Beef Noodle Casserole, watching the grandchildren play with GiGi in the yard, or riding Harleys with her best friend and Life Partner, Jerry. She loved making her house a home and welcoming to anyone that came over.
In addition to her parents, Dee is preceded in death by her husband, Johnny Dale Buckelew and brother-in-law, Mark Steagall.
She is survived by her daughters, Nicole Powers and Natalie Buckelew; Life Partner of 16 years Jerry Wayne Motley; Grandchildren, Jayce Powers, Jackson Powers, Bailey Hamaker, Lillian Powers, Liam McGuire, Lennox McGuire; siblings, James Straight, Debbie Steagall, Melinda (Steve) Turpin, Melissa (Howard) Grant, Jacqeline (Dan DeMarsh) Straight and a host of nieces and nephews that will cherish her memory always.
