Dolores "Dee" V. Garner

(Nee Sereikas)

Passed away peacefully on Friday, October 17, 2025, at the age of 95. She was born in Chicago on August 24,1930. She raised her family in Calumet Park, IL and retired from Calumet Public School District 132 after 25+ years of service. Her weekends were spent working the ticket booth at Raceway Park for many, many years. She also volunteered for several decades at St. Francis/MetroSouth Hospital in Blue Island. She took great joy in attending social outings with her friends, cheering for the Chicago Cubs and cherished every moment spent with her family.

Preceded in death by her husband, Robert L. Garner; her parents, Joseph and Alice (Nee Martinkus) Sereikas; her siblings, Joseph "Butch" Sereikas, Jr. and Elizabeth (Joseph) LeaRussa.

Survived by her children, Carol (Gary) Lincoln, Randall (Carol Miller) Garner, Laura (Jeff) Kersey, and Stevi (John) Muehlhausen; grandchildren, Jennifer (Rick) Rivera, Carrie (Mike) Firmature, Kevin Garner, Brian (Jessi) Garner, Dan (Becky) Gavillet, Kevin (Sean Neilsen) Gavillet, Stephanie (Kevin) Havlik; great-grandchildren, Nathan and Chase Rivera, Patrick Garner, Julia and Blake Gavillet, Lola and Delilah Havlik; and several nieces and nephews and other loved ones.

Private family services at St. Casimir Cemetery.
