Dolores Stephanie Harris, a beacon of love and faith, passed away peacefully on September 11, 2025, at the age of 91 in Mauldin, South Carolina. Born on September 19, 1933, in Rockford, Illinois, Dolores was a woman whose life was characterized by her loving nature, thoughtful gestures, and unwavering faith.

Dolores, affectionately known by those close to her, spent her formative years in Rockford, where she would later meet and marry the love of her life, Floyd Curtis Harris Sr., who preceded her in death. Together, they built a family founded on love, respect, and the joy of shared experiences. The legacy of their union is carried on by their devoted children, Floyd Curtis Harris Jr. and his wife the late Cathie Harris of Rockford, IL, and Mark Andrew Harris of Simpsonville, SC. Dolores was a cherished mother, and although her daughter Deborah Marie and her parents, Clara M. and Andrew W. Rebelak, preceded her in passing, the memories they shared continue to bring warmth to the hearts of those who knew them.

Dolores's professional life was marked by her tenure at Amrock and National Lock, where she was not only a dedicated employee but also a friend to many. Her work ethic and commitment to excellence were evident in all she undertook, and her influence extended beyond her professional roles through her involvement in various associations.

Beyond her work, Dolores found joy in the simple pleasures of life. She had a passion for working in her yard, where she cultivated not just plants but also a sense of tranquility and beauty that was enjoyed by all who visited her home. Dolores's love for her family was paramount, and she cherished every moment spent with them, creating memories that they will hold dear forever. Her sharp mind found delight in solving cryptograms, a hobby that reflected her love for puzzles and the joy she found in unraveling life's complexities.

Dolores's life was a testament to the virtues of being loving, thoughtful, and faith-filled. These words not only describe her but also embody the principles by which she lived. Her grandchildren, Steven, Troy and his wife Samantha, Daniel and his wife Karen, Ian and his wife K.C., Bridgette and her husband Brian, Brianne and her husband Mitch, and Zachary and his wife Amber, will remember her as a guiding light and a source of unwavering support. Her great-grandchildren, Kayla, Tristan, Caitlyn, Kelsee, Bailey, McKenzie, Carliya, Daniel II, Josiah, Eliza, Madelyn, Caroline, Wyatt, Everly, and Charlotte, will carry forward her legacy of kindness and compassion.

Dolores Stephanie Harris's life was a beautiful tapestry woven with threads of devotion, care, and grace. As we bid farewell to this extraordinary woman, we celebrate the indelible mark she has left on the hearts of all who were fortunate enough to know her. Her spirit, a gentle and nurturing force, will continue to live on through the lives of her family and the many individuals she touched throughout her remarkable journey. Dolores's life was a gift to us all, and her memory will be cherished forever.
