Dolores “Dee”, 89, of Sioux City, died peacefully at home on Tuesday, October 22, 2025. Visitation will be Saturday, October 25, 2025, from 2:00 to 3:00 p.m., with services at 3:00 p.m. at Meyer Brothers Morningside Chapel. Private family burial will be held at Memorial Park Cemetery.
Dolores was born on September 9, 1936, to Henry and Ann (Daley) Ebel in Sioux City. K-8th, she attended Brushy Bend, one room schoolhouse. She graduated from South Sioux City High School.
She Married Norman Livengood on August 11, 1965, in Omaha. She lived most of her life in Sioux City and worked at Prince Manufacturing and retired in 2000. After retirement, she had numerous volunteer jobs: NAIA Sport tournaments, lunch lady, secretary for Sunrise Retirement Community activities. She received the volunteer of the year award in 2020. Dolores enjoyed playing cards, reading, traveling, and spending time with grand and great-grandchildren.
Survivors include Daughter: Sheli Livengood (Steve); Sisters: Sally Foix (Bud), Judy Yandell; Granddaughters: Whitney (Claude) Walton, Mariah (Joel) Stallman, Bailey (Ryan) Walton; and Great Grandchildren: Hendrix & Reagan.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Norman; her parents; infant daughter, Terri; son, Darby; step-son Keith Sr.; brother, Larry Ebel; and brothers-in-law: Jody Yandell and Warren Livengood, Jr.
Pallbearers will be Claude Vogelaar, Joel Stallman, Ryan Gregory, Steve Gordon, Chris Foix, and Joel Yandell.
Memorials may be directed to Camp High Hopes & Special Olympics.
