Publish in a newspaper

Dolores Lopez was born on December 6, 1951 to Charlie and Catherine Salas in Houston, Texas. She entered eternal rest on August 13, 2025 at the age of 73.

Dolores, a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend, lived a life defined by faith, love, kindness and unwavering devotion to God and her family.

Dolores is preceded in death by her Husband, Cervando Lopez, Mother, Catherine Salas, Father, Charlie Salas; Sister, Mary Lou Ono, Sister, Alicia Prado, Sister, Linda Marie Salas.

She is survived by her beloved family which includes her Daughter, Audelia Marcy Atkinson; Son-in-law, Henry Atkinson; Grandson, Noah Ryan Atkinson; Two Sisters, Irene Ragsdale, Joann Chapa; Sister-in-laws, Irma Lopez (Alicia Torres), Norma (Richard) Dominguez; Brother-in-law, Sergio (Dorothy) Lopez; Countless nieces, nephews, extended family and friends. Each of whom was cherished deeply and held close in her heart. She was a proud mother and grandmother, whose world revolved around her family. Nothing brought her more joy than time spent together. Her love for her only grandson was unmatched, and his laughter could light up her entire face.

Her passion for singing and praising God at church was a reflection of her steadfast faith. Dolores' spiritual life was the foundation upon which she built her home. She was a prayer warrior, whose prayers lifted up many of her loved ones and her community, sustaining them through every season.

Those who knew Dolores, knew her door was always open, whether you needed a place to rest, a warm meal, or simply someone to talk to. She gave her time freely, blessing others with her presence, both in person or by phone. Her compassion had no boundaries or limits. Anyone in need could count on her to give from her whole heart.

Dolores will be remembered as a woman of faith, strength, wise, selfless and hardworking. She was devoted, not only to her family, but to anyone who crossed her path. Her advice was always thoughtful, comfortable and reliable. To know Dolores, was to know true generosity and grace, that was limitless.

Her legacy lives on in the lives she touched, the prayers she whispered and the love she gave so freely. She was a blessing to each of us, and her memory will forever be cherished.
