Lucia is preceded in death by her husband, Ruben Monterroso.
She is survived by her beloved family, including her son, Ruben Dario (Michelle) Monterroso; daughter, Leslie Monterroso; granddaughters, Cristian Carrasco and Elizabeth Del Valle; grandsons, Ruben Dario Monterroso and Nicholas Del Valle; great-grandson, Asher Carrasco; sisters, Gabriela Ramirez and Sabrina Ramirez; and brother, Luis Ramirez.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, August 19, 2025, from 3:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Felix H. Morales Funeral Home, Houston, Texas. With a Rosary beginning at 6:00 pm.
A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Wednesday, August 20, 2025, at 11:30 a.m. at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church, with Fr. Richard MacDonald officiating.
Rite of Committal will follow at Forest Park Lawndale Cemetery.
