Dolores Ann "Motley" Rinaldo

With heavy hearts and deep gratitude for her life, we announce the passing of Dolores Ann Rinaldo (Motley), who died peacefully in her home in Gloucester Point, Virginia, on Tuesday, September 9, 2025, at 10:44 a.m. Surrounded by those who loved her most, she left this world as she lived in it-strong, courageous, and deeply loved.

Dolores was a remarkable woman: spirited, fiercely independent, and full of life. She had a sharp wit, an unshakable sense of humor, and a boldness that never wavered. Whether through a story, a knowing glance, or one of her famously candid remarks, she had a way of making everyone around her feel seen and understood.

She was the beloved mother of Maria Piralla and her husband Patrice Piralla, Sarah Rinaldo-Ingle, and Rebecca Rinaldo. Her pride in her daughters was immeasurable, and she poured herself into their lives with unwavering devotion. Dolores's love extended through generations. She is survived by her grandchildren: Abigail Ingle (13), Noah Ingle (26), Micah Starks (26), Bella Syphrett (17), Steven Weeks (37), Mark Weeks (34), and Garet Krohn (30), and her great-grandchildren: Everleigh Starks (4), Parker Weeks (9), Darla Mae Weeks (7), Hazel Weeks (2), Brielle Weeks (4), Penelope Weeks (1), Beau Krohn (2), Lacey Krohn (1), and Cassius Krohn (1 month). Each held a special place in her heart and brought meaning and delight to her later years.

Dolores's legacy is one of strength, honesty, and fierce love. She lived her life on her own terms, always speaking her truth and standing up for those she cared about. She created a welcoming home, and her stories, opinions, and generous spirit left lasting impressions on all who knew her.

A Memorial Service to honor her life will be held on Sunday, September 28, 2025, at 2:00 p.m. by the pond behind 7515 Camp Okee Drive, Gloucester Point, VA 23062. A Celebration of Life will follow at Nick's Spaghetti and Steak House, located at 1440 George Washington Memorial Highway, Gloucester Point, VA 23062. Family and friends are warmly invited to attend and share in remembering Dolores's life and legacy.

She was deeply loved, and her absence leaves a space that can never be filled. But in the stories we tell, the values she passed down, and the lives she touched, Dolores Ann Rinaldo (Motley) will live on.
