Dolores Janet Langone was born on April 11,1936 in Nassau Hospital , located in Mineola, NY. Daughter of Agnes and Pasquale Langone. Loving sister to Marie, Paul, Charles , Edward and Barbara. Dolores graduated from Roslyn High School in June of 1955. She married Richard J. Sinski on September 18, 1955 at St. Mary’s in Roslyn. She has said numerous times,” that was the best day of my life.”Family was important to her. She and her husband Richard brought five children into this world. Rick, Doug ( Pauline), Don(Doreen) , Laura( Scott Mcmahon) and Trish( Keith Trimble). With her children she shared her love of reading, baking , and arts and crafts. Dolores’s children began to create families of their own and soon she became a grandmother Nana Banana) to Ricky, Bryan, Sean, Dougie, Danny, Linda, Jennifer, Julia, Lexie, Ryan, Bob, Amanda, Olivia ,and Eva. With each new addition, her love grew exponentially for all of them. Next , a great grandmother to Austin, Brendan and Colin. The boys instantly light up any room they enter with their presence. A daughter, wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. Dolores loved her family of origin deeply, as well as the family she created with her husband . She spoke of her children often and her grandchildren and great grand children as often as she possibly could. Dolores wished she had pursued a secondary education. She was naturally bright and curious , with an amazing memory. She was a fierce Jeopardy competitor and prided herself at beating all of her children shamelessly whenever she could. If degrees were given for the University of Life, Dolores would have a Bachelors in music( which she loved...especially music from the big band era), a Masters in dance( even in her wheelchair she could still be seen grooving to any tune that was playing) and a Doctorate in conversation( talking was her favorite thing to do). Dolores had a way of engaging people in conversation , connecting them with others and enjoying that shared experience. She loved life and all it had to offer. Albert Einstein’s famous quote captures the spirit of Dolores,”rejoice with your family in the beautiful land of life” Dolores will be remembered for her generous heart, her good soul, warped sense of humor and her infectious laugh. She leaves behind so many amazing human beings who have and will make this earth a better place. On December 5, 2025 at 2:15am , while sleeping in Southampton NY, she crossed the veil...to continue her soul’s journey. We welcome friend’s and relatives to join us in the celebration of her life.
A funeral Mass will be held On Tuesday December 12, 2025 10 am at St. Boniface RC
Church , 145 Glen Ave Sea Cliff , NY with burial to follow at East Hillside Cemetery where
Dolores will join her husband Richard of 70 years.
