Dolores Jean Smith

Dolores Jean (Buehner) Smith, 94, of Evansville, passed away Tuesday, September 23, 2025, at West River Health Campus. Dolores was born on May 25, 1931, in Evansville to the late Paul and Helen (Baumgartner) Buehner. She was a 1949 graduate of Memorial High School. She married Jack L. Smith and together they had four children, Dean Eric, Mark Alan, Steven Edward and Lee Ann. Surviving Dolores are three children, Dean Eric Smith, Steven Edward Smith and Lee Ann Grote; two brothers, Ralph Buehner and David Buehner; seven grandchildren; six great grandchildren, many nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, Dolores was preceded in death by her husband, Jack L. Smith; son, Mark Alan Smith; and sisters, Shirley Meny and Rosemary Bennett.
