Mrs Dolores A. Valdez

Dolores Valdez, 92, of Madera, California, passed away peacefully on March 19, 2025. She was born and raised in Madera, where she built a life filled with faith, family, and cherished memories.
Dolores was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Lupe Valdez, her parents, Juan and Avelina Atilano, and her brothers, Jess, Frank, Mingo, and Danny Atilano. She leaves behind a legacy of love, survived by her brother, Joe Atilano and his wife, Lydia, and her three daughters: Carol Cervantez and her husband, Richard, Lisa Rodgers and her husband, Greg, of Madera, CA, and Marlene Anderson and her husband, Steve, of Fresno, CA.
Dolores was a proud and devoted grandmother to seven grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren, and three great-great-grandchildren, along with many nieces and nephews. Her warmth and kindness will live on in the hearts of her family and all who knew her.
A faithful member of Saint Joachim Catholic Church, Dolores found great comfort in her spirituality. Her family would like to express their heartfelt appreciation to her dedicated caregivers, with special thanks to Joyce Torres at Gettysburg Mercy Home in Fresno, CA, and the compassionate team at Hospice of Fresno.
Family and friends are invited to honor Dolores's life at a memorial service on Thursday, March 27, 2025, at 10:00 AM at Jay Chapel in Madera, CA. Following the service, all are welcome to join for a celebration of life reception at Sugar Pine at the Municipal Golf Course.
