Dolores June (Ebert) Young, 97, of Erin, TN, formerly of Knauers, PA passed away October 27, 2025, at Signature Healthcare of Erin, Tennessee. She was the widow of Jack W. Young, who passed away December 8, 2008.
Dolores, a daughter of the late Edna P (Bausman) and Earl E Ebert, was born in their home in Kenhorst on July 15, 1928. She leaves behind 4 children: David J. Belz, husband of Patricia, Mohnton; Darrell L. Belz, Mohrsville; Joleen A., wife of Steve Wert, Bumpus Mills, TN; and Douglas P. Belz, Allentown. She was very close to her 5 stepchildren, Robert Young, husband of Mary; John Young; Carol Thompson, wife of Kenny; Alan Young, husband of Lisa; and Dale Young, husband of Jo Ann. She will be missed by many grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Dolores lived a very fulfilling life. She graduated from Shillington High School where she was a majorette. She was in the Kenhorst Drum & Bugle Corps participating in many parades. Dolores was a dispatcher for trucking companies such as Interstate Systems and Big B. She was not only a life member of the Teamsters Union; she was the secretary for the local chapter and composed their newsletters for years. Dolores loved motorcycles, she was a founding member of Pagoda MC, Birdsboro, and the ladies auxiliary. She remained a life member of both along with the Motor Maids, a national all-female motorcycle organization, and the AMA. She also loved boating even though she never learned to swim. She and Jack spent many weekends in Maryland on the Chesapeake. They traveled to Hawaii and the Panama Canal but her favorite was visiting Darrell in St Croix, USVI. She loved dogs, having many over the years, going to car shows in Wildwood with Rob & Mary, playing penny poker and just having fun.
Graveside services will be held on Wednesday, November 5, 2025, ay 1:00 PM in Forest Hills Memorial Park, 391 W. Neversink Rd., Reiffton. The Klee Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Inc., Shillington, is assisting the family. www.kleefuneralhome.com
