Our beloved Dominic Indell Dixon Sr. peacefully departed this life on Sunday December 14th, 2025, with his wife, daughter, family and friends by his side. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle and friend.

Dominic I Dixon was born Sr. February 25th, 1967, in Newport News VA he was the eleventh child born out of twelve to the late Isaiah and Hazel Dixon. He was a graduate of Warwick High School of class 1985. He attended Norfolk State University as a music major. He served in the United State Army from 1988 - 1992 as a motor transport operator. He graduated from ECPI Institute as a medical assistant. He was a dedicated director of the Hampton VA choir for several years. He was also the director of the New Horizon Veteran Music Ministry from 2010- 2018.

He was one of the first presidents of Warwick Alumni for serval years and later became a dedicated board member. He was a dedicated praise team and choir member of Providence Baptist Church. He developed his craft as the minister of music at Mount Ararat Christian United Church. He loved music and entertaining people he was our harmonica player, and we knew when it was someone's birthday, he would serenade them with birthday song.

Dominic(D-NICK) is known as a sleek dresser, bow tie wearing, smooth gentleman with a very friendly outgoing personality. His famous joke, why do they call me blue cheese (because I be dressing). He was a person that never met a stranger and gave them that bright smile. Dom loved sharing and didn't mind helping anyone; he was one-of-a-kind. He loved to make people laugh; he was known as the family entertainer. He carried his sidekick (harmonica) wherever he went and would perform at various functions such as weddings, retirement and birthdays. He enhanced his musical skills with his harmonica when he released 3 CD's; Manor on High, In Your Presence and A King Is Born, Christmas CD. He was currently employed at Veterans Administration department as a Housing Support specialist for 14 years and enjoyed helping veterans find a place to live.

Dominic leaves to cherish his memories, his loving wife Janet of 13 years, daughter Ashely Coleman (Shalonn), son Dominic I Dixon Jr. , bonus daughters Latasha and DaShanta White, his siblings; Sharon Dixon, Barbara Dixon, Antoine Dixon Sr., (Teresa), Kevin Dixon, Rosalind Ivey, (Stephen), Eduardo C Dixon Sr. (Margaret), Alban Dixon, Eunorous Dixon (Shanita), foster mother Esther Howard. 9 grandchildren; Tatiyana, Liam, Dominic II, Airyanna, Major, Epik, Aaliyah, Aubree, Ava. A host of loving, warm, caring nieces, nephews, many cousins and friends.

Dominic was preceded in death by his loving parents Isaiah and Hazel Dixon, one brother Charles Dixon and two sisters Gloria Dixon and Dannette Lucas and bonus son Quinton D. White. Our hearts and lives will be forever changed with the absence of our beloved Dominic I. Dixon Sr.
