Dominic Ares Dunne was born into the deepest love & left this world too soon on March 18, 2025, at NMC Medical Center in Newton. He was stillborn ten days before his induction date—gone suddenly, yet peacefully. Though he never took a breath in this world, he lived a full & beautiful life within his mother’s womb, where he was cherished every moment of his journey.
Dominic was never alone. His mother carried him with love, pride, & awe as he grew strong & made his presence known with every roll, stretch, & kick. He danced to the sound of his father's voice, moved like a wave during swim time, & responded with joy to his favorite meals—especially Cheerios & his father’s Swedish meatballs with mashed potatoes. He brought his parents immense joy, & his gentle, playful spirit left an indelible mark on their hearts. They fondly remember his animated personality & the bond they shared with him in every moment.
Dominic is survived by his loving parents, Kimberli & Gerard Dunne; his grandparents Phyllis & John Dunne, Dave & Jaina Pierantoni; his aunt & uncle Jessica & John Dunne; his cousins Halen & Jack Dunne; & his grandmother & uncle Michele Murphy & Anthony Pierantoni.
Though Dominic's time on earth was brief, his impact is immeasurable. His parents dreamed of showing him the world, watching him grow, & nurturing the amazing person he was destined to become. That dream will now live on in their hearts.
There will not be a formal service. A star has been dedicated in Dominic’s name, & a tree has been planted in his honor. His parents had him cremated & have taken him home, where he will always remain with them. Dominic, you were & always will be deeply loved. Your parents miss you beyond words & carry your memory with them forever. If love could have saved you…you would have lived forever.
