It is with a heavy heart that we come together to honor the life of our dear Dominique Lasha Richardson, born May 22, 1985. Dominique's warmth and love touched so many lives, and her memory will forever remain in our hearts.
Dominique's journey through life was marked by providing for her ever-growing family and her passion for caring for others. She proudly attended Pearl Cohn High School and graduated from Job Corp of Kentucky, later earning her associate's degree in child care from Tennessee Tech. Her commitment to nurturing others was evident in everything she did.
Known for an open house and an open kitchen, Dominique never met a stranger. She was a beloved daughter, sister, mother, companion, and friend to many. Her joy for life shone through in her love for planning parties, doing hair, and spending precious time with her children, family, and friends.
Preceded in death by her mother Teresa Richardson, grandfather Ellis Williams, grandmother Fannie Richardson, great grandmother Rosie Richardson, great grandparents Rev Chalmers and Mollie Jackson, Brother Ricci Thompson, and sister Shimese Davis, aunt Diane Michelle Waters, sisters, Darlene and Latashia Gilbert, Heaven Rivers, aunt, Shelle Brooks, uncle, Burtram Paul Williams.
While we mourn her loss, we also celebrate the beautiful legacy she leaves behind. Dominique is survived by her loving father Charles (Rose) Williams and grandparents Chalmers Jackson lll and Frances Williams, her devoted companion Larry Smith, and her cherished children: Makayha (Terrance), Shaniya (Jaison), Kaniya, Shakayha, Aniya, and Larry Jr. She was also a proud grandmother to Tay'Mauri and Tay'Loni Richardson-Blair.
Dominique's memory will be lovingly preserved by her siblings Dquwana (Steven) Rivers, DeJuan (Brandy) Richardson, Darryl Wayne (Taylor) Richardson, Bryant Johnson, Darrell Bean, Mario (Michelle)Teasley, numerous nephews: Lamontez, Steven Jr, Zamychal, Nathan, Jeremiah, Wayne-Wayne, Harlem, Tyler, Nathaniel, Daniel, Mario, Marqulas, Demarion, Demario, Isaiah, Kingston, Pierre, ZyShawn, and Zamar; nieces: Zanieya, Tameria, Bryante’, Khloe’, Raya, Jay-Jay, Aaliyah, Marshea, Marionna, Janea, Deonsa, and Keterika; great-nephew: Josiah; great-niece: Ivy and Iris. Best friend Laquita Venoy, uncles, Ellis(Rogel) Williams, aunts, Mary Ann (Jimmy Lee) Davis, Carolyn Jones, Bessie and Tinesky Williams, Countless cousins and countless friends who were blessed to know her. Though she has joined her mother Teresa Richardson and other beloved family members who preceded her in death, her spirit remains with us all.
As we remember Dominique, let us hold onto the love, laughter, and light she brought into our lives. May we find comfort in our shared memories and the knowledge that her legacy lives on through all those she touched.
