Don Arnold Davis, age 80, passed away peacefully on September 10th, 2025 in Bentonville, Arkansas. He was a devoted father, cherished grandfather, and a dear friend to many.
Born in Wynne, Arkansas on June 9th, 1945 to Talmadge Oliver Davis and Dorothy Bee South (Davis). Don Davis lived a life filled with love, laughter and kindness. He was known for his sense of humor, warm smile, feisty demeanor, and unwavering generosity. Don proudly served in the Army National Guard for 7 years, he was also a Deputy Sheriff in Cross and Cleburne County while farming for many years beside his father and brother in Wynne, AR where he was respected for his dedication and hard work. He retired from farming and moved to Russellville, AR in 1997 where he opened Ozark Gun & Pawn to fill his love for collecting guns and meeting new people. He approached every task with diligence and integrity, leaving a lasting impression on all who had the pleasure of knowing him.
In his free time, Don Davis enjoyed hunting and fishing, finding solace and joy in the simple moments he spent with his family and friends. He was an avid believer of Christ and followed the teachings of the Shepherd's Chapel, spreading the good news to those he came in contact with. He will be remembered for his witty remarks and one liners in conversation, he loved to talk and never met a stranger.
Don Davis was preceded in death by both his parents, Talmadge Oliver Davis, father, Dorothy Bee Davis, mother and a brother in law, Donald Devazier.
Don is survived by his older brother, Oliver Davis (Betty) of Wynne; his sister, Ann Devazier of Wynne; his four children, Marni Lathrop (Pat) of Branson, MO; Candice Davis-Dickens of Harrison, AR; Nikki Wells (Mark) of Benton, AR; and Levi Davis of Centerton, AR. Eight grandchildren, Lexi Wells-Hollingshead, Kirkland Lathrop, Garren Dickens, Karagan Lathrop, Gavin Wells, Zander Dickens, Laney Wells-Wright, and Keegan Lathrop. And 4 great grandchildren.
Don A. Davis may have left this world, but his love, laughter, and legacy will continue to live on in the hearts of all who knew him.
