Don J. Fougere

Don J. Fougere, born on February 21, 1943, in Canada, passed away peacefully in Sparta, TN, on November 4, 2025. He lived a life marked by love, dedication, and a profound sense of community.

Throughout his life, Don shared an unbreakable bond his beloved wife, Correne Fougere. Together, they created a home filled with joy and warmth. Don took great pride in his family, raising his son, Vince (Donna) Fougere, and daughter, Connie Vautour, with steadfast guidance and unwavering support. He cherished his role as a grandfather, lovingly engaging with Jason, April, Shawn, Justice, Jordan, and Addison, who brought immeasurable joy into his life.

Don was part of a close-knit family that included his beloved sister Doris (Ron) and his brother-in-law Ronnie (Joyce) Spivey. He was also surrounded by an extended family of sisters-in-law, including Freda (Jimmy) Moss and Wilma Sparks, as well as a special niece, Susan, who held a cherished place in his heart. These relationships enriched Don's life and shaped the loving legacy he leaves behind.

The loss of Don is felt deeply by those who knew him, as he was preceded in death by his parents, Leon and Emily Fougere, his brothers Paul, Frankie, Leo, Vincent Fougere, and stepdaughter Lisa Casey, along with his brother and sister-in-law, Shirley (Wayne) Spivey. Their memories continue to live on in the hearts of his family.

Don J. Fougere will be remembered not only for his devotion to family but also for his kind spirit and the positive impact he had on those around him. A memorial service will be held in his honor on November 8, 2025, at 11:00 AM at Valley View Baptist Church in TN. Officiating will be Bro. Howard Gorter, providing an opportunity for friends and family to gather, share stories, and celebrate the life of a remarkable man who will be sorely missed.
