Don G. Freeman

Don G. Freeman, 83, of Garnerville New York entered into Eternal Rest on May 23, 2022. Don was born to Thomas and Etta Freeman July 18 1938 in Haverstraw, NY. He was a proud, lifelong resident of Haverstraw. He attended St Peter's School and graduated from Haverstraw High School in 1957, where he had a passion for football which he played with his cousins and friends. Don went on to serve in the United States Army National Guard 1958-1964. He was employed by the Plumbers and Steamfitters Local 373 for 40 years. He was a member of the Haverstraw Fire Dept., Lady Warren Co. #5, and was a Life Member of the Haverstraw Elks BPOE 877. Don is survived by his devoted wife Barbara Freeman of 33 years and his loving family; his son Barry Freeman and wife Becky, his daughter Siobhan Freeman Sheehan and husband Michael, and his step daughters Kim Meisner and Erin Connolly-Frontino. Don was a loving grandfather and is survived by his cherished grandchildren; Austin, Emma and Seth Freeman. Michael, Nicholas, Aidan and Declan Sheehan. James DiPasquale, Joseph and Frankie Frontino. Don is also survived by his brother, Gary Freeman and two sisters Ann Senior and Jane Jersey, as well as, many nieces, nephews, cousins and many lifelong family friends. He was predeceased by his brothers Thomas and Robert Freeman. Family and friends may call from 3:00 to 7:00 PM on Friday, May 27 at the George M Holt Funeral Home, 50 New Main Street, Haverstraw, NY 10927. Don's Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Saturday, May 28, 2022 at 10:00 AM at Immaculate Conception Church, 26 John Street, Stony Point, NY 10980. Burial will be private. In Lieu of flowers Memorial Donations in Loving Memory of Don G. Freeman may be made to the Saint Jude Children's Hospital.
