Don Edward Grinnell ( Don Boy), a lifelong resident of Mandeville, passed away on Friday, April 4, 2025.
He was born on October 13, 1964 to Alice Richardson Grinnell and Melvin Joseph Grinnell. He is survived by his son, Grayson T. Grinnell and his mother, Barbara B Grinnell; brother of Barry F. Grinnell (Lora) and Terri G. Fogarty (Rick); nephews, Barry, Braden, and Brant Grinnell; Reese Fogarty and niece, Reagan Fogarty; and great nephew, Bodhi Grinnell.
Don was born in Covington and lived in Mandeville his entire life. He graduated from Mandeville High, and soon went on to graduate from Southeastern Louisiana University. He was the owner of Grinnell Industries, a manufacturer's representative for Industrial products. Don's life was guided by his devout Catholic Faith and love for his family and friends.
He will be remembered by all for his love of his Alma Mata, Mandeville High School where he lettered in Football and Baseball. He would go on to be the "Voice of the Skippers" and announce the Football games after he graduated. His love for the Skippers was as deep as his love for the LSU Fighting Tigers. He will be missed by all who knew and loved him.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend the funeral services at Our Lady of the Lake Catholic Church, 312 Lafitte Street, Mandeville, LA 70448 on Monday, April 14, 2025, at 12:00 noon with visitation at church on Monday beginning at 10:00 AM. Interment will follow in Mandeville Cemetery.
