James Edward Erminger

James Edward Erminger, Sr., age 66, passed away peacefully at his home on Friday, September 19, 2025. Born on July 16, 1959, in New Orleans, LA, he was the beloved son of the late Richard and Rita Erminger.

James was a proud graduate of Pyrtania Private School, where he remained active as an Alumnus throughout his life. He continued his education at Southeastern Louisiana University where he played football, a testament to his lifelong love of sports.

Following college, James joined his father's business, American Truck and Trailer, and later went on to enjoy a successful career in sales at Lamarque Ford before retiring.

James shared many wonderful years with his beloved wife, Peggy Grace Erminger. He was the beloved son in law to Myrtle S. Grace and the late Leonard R. Grace. James was a devoted and loving father to James Erminger, Jr. and Brienne M. Bettencourtt (Joseph), and brother to Linda E. Santopadre (late Joseph), Sandra E. Krubee (Billy), and the late Richard Erminger, Jr.

He also held a special place in his heart for nephews, Michael Erminger and Jonathan High; his dear friend, Kevin Fassbender; and numerous nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends who will always remember him fondly.

A passionate golfer and devoted sports fan, James never missed a game-whether he was watching from the stands or cheering from home. Above all, he was a true family man who never met a stranger. His warmth, kindness, and easy conversation made everyone feel like a friend.

James will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
