Don J. Thompson, age 68, a resident of Grayslake, IL, passed away at home on January 13, 2026 after a tough battle with pancreatic cancer. Don was born on April 15, 1957 in Chicago to Roy and Nancy Thompson.
Don is survived by his son, Ahri Thompson; and his siblings, Michael (Marie) Thompson and Kathleen (Jerry) Ogden. He was preceded in death by his parents, and brother John Thompson.
Don was an avid golfer, and Chicago sports enthusiast, with a final memory of his Bears beating the Packers one last time.
A Memorial Visitation and Service will be held at Strang Funeral Chapel, 410 E Belvidere Road, Grayslake, IL 60030 on January 31st, with visitation from 9 to 1, followed by a Service from 1 to 2.
