Dona Gann

Dona Gann of Independence, Missouri passed away peacefully Friday, November 21, 2025 at Independence Manor Care Center at 7:55 a.m. at the age of 93. Funeral Services will be held Monday, December 1, 2025 at 4:00 p.m. at Royer's New Salem Funeral Home, Independence, Missouri. The family will receive friends at 3:00 p.m. until the time of service at the funeral home. Burial will follow on Tuesday, December 2,2025 at 2:00 p.m. in Howell Memorial Park Cemetery, West Plains, Missouri.

Dona was a loving mother of four children: Katherine (deceased), Debora (deceased), Beverly, and Tammie. She worked for several years in school cafeterias as a baker and was known as a dedicated, hard worker. Dona loved spending time outdoors, especially mowing her yard or shoveling snow, and she took great joy in baking and canning. Time spent with family and friends was always special to her.

She is survived by 2 daughters, Beverly and Tammie; 8 grandchildren; 1 great grandchild and several nieces and nephews.

Dona was preceded in death by her parents; her husband of 51 years, Clester Gann; 2 daughters: Katherine Reiter and Debora Gann; and 2 sisters.
