Dona D. Putvain, 53, of Coventry, passed away in Newport on Friday, May 6, 2005.

He was born in Hardwick on February 8, 1952, the son of Donald and Mae (Colbeth) Putvain. Dona served in the US Army and was a veteran of Vietnam. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, mechanical work and collecting guns.

Dona is survived by his children, Gina Putvain of Newport Center, Karen Putvain of New Hampshire, Cheryl Brown of New Hampshire, Christina Sylvester of Barre, and Linda Cutter of Newport, his granddaughter, Kaitlyn Grenier of Newport Center, his fiancée, Jane Sargent of Coventry, his brothers, Mike Putvain of Eden, Randy Putvain of Hardwick, Jeff Putvain of Greensboro, and Kelly Putvain of Florida, his sister, Lisa Booth of Lowell, nieces, nephews and cousins. He was predeceased by his son, Jerry Sevene.

Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, May 10 at the Curtis-Britch-Converse-Rushford Memorial Chapel, Lake Road, Newport (formerly Bay St.) at 1:00 p.m. with the Rev. Richard Whitehill officiating. Friends may call at the funeral home one hour prior to the service on Tuesday. Parking and easy ramped entrance in rear of funeral home. Interment will take place at the Newport Center cemetery.

Should friends desire, contributions in Dona’s memory may be made to the North Country Hospital Renal Dialysis, C/O Wendy Franklin, 189 Prouty Drive, Newport, VT 05855.
