Donald Ray Barrow, 88, of Chillicothe, passed from this life on Sunday August 10, 2025 at his residence. He was born on October 10, 1936 in Monroe Co., IN, the son of Shirley Otto and Myra (Snyder) Barrow. On November 7, 1958 he married Sylvia Ann Scott, who preceded him in death on June 19, 2023.

Surviving is his daughter, Becky Lynn Rozell, and a son, Gary L. Barrow, both of Chillicothe, grandchildren, Benjamin (Christina) Rozell, Bethany Rozell (Joe Peterson), and Christine Barrow. He was preceded in death by his parents, a daughter, Debbie Barrow, son-in-law, Aden Rozell, a sister, and a brother.

Don was a veteran of the United States Navy. He retired in 1992 from Chilpaco, where he worked as a paper maker, and attended Brookside Church. Don was the Unioto Jr. High girls basketball coach from 1980-1982. He was also the head coach for the Southeastern varsity girls basketball team beginning in 1982, and later the head coach for Amanda- Clearcreek varsity girls basketball team, and served as the athletic director, retiring in 2000.

A Funeral Service will be held at 1:00 p.m., Friday August 15, 2025 in the FAWCETT OLIVER GLASS AND PALMER FUNERAL HOME with Pastor Ralph Hux, officiating. Burial will follow in Londonderry Cemetery, with military rites conducted by the Ross County Veterans Honor Guard. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 11:00 a.m. until the hour of service on Friday. An online memorial guestbook is available at www.fawcett-palmer.com.
