Donald Henry Bell, age 77, of Carrollton, died in a local medical facility of normal causes. He is preceded in death by his parents, Radford Olin Bell and Ruby Elizabeth Henry Bell; a sister-in-law, Valetta Rosenbalm Brock, and a brother-in-law, Frank Ray (Bud) Barrow.
He is survived by his wife Wendy Rosenbalm Bell; a sister, Elmira Ann Bell Barrow; and nephews, Brandon Barrow, Chad Barrow, Bert Barrow and David Brock; and grand nieces and nephews who always welcomed "Uncle Don" with love and open arms.
Don graduated from Bremen High School and West Georgia College with a Batchelor of Business Administration in 1966, and became a manager of a men's store on Carrollton Square, and was then employed at Warren Sewell Clothing Company as a salesman in Illinois and Indiana. His ownership of a convenience store near West Georgia College kept him well known and available with life friends he treasured.
Don and Rick Pollard and Gelon Wasdin went on bike rides all across the USA, and they walked the streets of Bremen daily by all the places they loved growing up together.
The family will receive friends on Sunday, October 12, 2025 from 1:00 pm until 2:00 pm at the funeral home.
Services will be conducted on Sunday, October 12, 2025, from the Chapel of Hightower Funeral Home with Pastor Page Ann Miller and Dr. Hunter Roe officiating and Rick Pollard delivering the eulogy. Cade Barrow, Bret Barrow, Benjamin Barrow, Beau Barrow, Brody Barrow, Blaine Chambers, Davis Brock, David Brock, Demone Bates will serve as pallbearers. Rick Pollard, Skip Pollard, Gelon Wasdin, Hal Bell, Crosby Holland, Victor Edmonds, and the First Baptist Church of Bremen Sunday School Class Members will serve as honorary pallbearers.
Interment will follow in The Church of Carrollton Cemetery.
